Past Echoes CD (2003)
A fresh approach to New Age/World Music with hauntingly beautiful vocals (Irish and English) and instrumentals. Reflect back into the past with melodies such as Past Echoes and Mastique, and delight in the tender melody Blue Valley.
Sheryl's actual music career began in 1992 with a literal shift in her brain and thinking as a result of many life issue upheavals.
With this shift, music starting flowing for her compositional work.
Even before this point, she handbuilt a harp from blueprints sent to her by a harpmaker.
The harp is heard in the traditional Irish tunes Gentle Maiden and Danny Boy and some of the other productions.
Sheryl's first CD, "Past Echoes," which was released in 1998 was the beginning of the concrete actualization of a dream to share her music with the public after many, many rejections.
Sheryl's music has been inspired and influenced by the rich music that she grew up with in her home.
Her parents listened to various artists which are still well known in the business today.
More recently, her ear has expanded to the beautiful and mysterious celtic sounds of Ireland and Scotland.
In fact, her being has even expanded to feeling the impressions of a lot of the music she plays and composes as if coming from the past and additionally, from places deep within herself.
A trip to Ireland in 1997 where she attended a concert awakened the ability to play the violin (heard in Sheryl's composition Kildare Moon).
Sheryl also plays an electric cello heard in Luna Lament.
As Sheryl's music career moves forward, she continues to try to expand her music in ways to bring rich beautiful music to the public.
