Sonny George albums Rock writer Richard Blackburn once claimed that rockabilly singer/guitarist Ronnie Dawson resembled "a waxed, brush-cut Dorian Gray with eye makeup," and it's impossible to improve on such a description. Not only does the Texas-bred rockabilly cat look exactly the same as he did when he burst onto the scene in the late '50s, but he sings and plays like no time has elapsed. By the '90s, the majority of original rockabilly stars were dead, retired, or playing the nostalgia circuit.
