 Gg Allin Biography
G.G. Allin is one of the most notorious figures in rock history. Fronting a variety of bands, most famously the Murder Junkies, Allin purveyed a bare-knuckle version of punk rock that celebrated total freedom in the form of violence, destruction, and mayhem. Allin's live shows--equal parts performance art, high-octane rock, and sociopathic behavior--were frequently shut down by authorities (Allin himself went to prison on assault charges in 1989). He often claimed that in the ultimate act of showmanship he would kill himself on stage on Halloween. The holiday came and went many times before Allin, an unapologetic drug user, succumbed to an overdose in 1993. G.G. Allin is a hero to some and an intolerable menace to others; that he is an individual who truly walked it like he talked is, however, undeniable.
