Andrea Bocelli Biography
Blind Italian tenor Artist is perhaps crossover classical's most successful performer. Since his 1992 duet with Italian pop-rock sensation Zucchero, Bocelli has had one foot firmly planted in the world of classical opera and the other in commercial pop. His soulful delivery has garnered praise from, among others, Luciano Pavarotti, and has graced numerous traditional opera recordings; however, he has also duetted with the likes of Celine Dion, Sarah Brightman, and AMERICAN IDOL runner-up Katherine McPhee. Bocelli has millions of fans, and is one of the most successful recording artists in the world.
