 Annihilator Biography
Upon the release of their 1989 debut, ALICE IN HELL, Ottawa's Annihilator was advertised as "Canada's answer to Metallica." The band, led by guitar virtuoso Jeff Waters, is known throughout the metal community for innovative, shredding guitar techniques, haunting melodies, and unparalleled thrash dynamics. Along with Testament and Overkill, Annihilator is among the final vestiges of the thrash metal movement, yet the band consistently reinvents itself and remains relevant in metal circles to this day.
