Taking a small step forward from Seamless, Happy Together still uses electronic percussion but not in an intrusive way. The fact that the Nylons were unlike any a cappella act on the scene made them stand out and earned them accolades and a devoted audience almost immediately. Happy Together was the band's fourth album and is probably their most popular, commercially. All songs written or co-written by members of The Nylons except "Happy Together" (Garry Bonner/Alan Gordon), "Chain Gang" (Sam Cooke), "A Touch Of Your Hand" (Brian Allen) and "Kiss Him Goodbye" (Dale Frashuer/Gary DeCarlo/Paul Leka).
