 Bad Manners Biography
Along with the Specials, Madness, and many other bands, Bad Manners were part of the British ska revival of the 1970s and `80s. Formed in London in 1976, Bad Manners' music featured uptempo ska rhythms, bright horns, and the antics of their bald, heavyset frontman Buster Bloodvessel. During their peak in the early `80s, the band was a hit in England, spending consecutive weeks on the U.K. charts with tunes like "My Girl Lollipop" and "Lip Up Fatty." The group disbanded in 1986, but re-formed shortly after to release more albums and tour. In the 2000s, Bad Manners continued to perform, with Buster Bloodvessel one of the only remaining original members.
