It wasn't until 2002 that he became serious about his pursuit of writing. Steve didn't discover music until the age of 10 when his parents bought the family's first piano. At 18 years old, Steve moved to Los Angeles and took a break from music for many years. He immediately excelled in music, even writing his own songs and compositions.
