Their newly released EP ( July 2008), produced by Shaun Lopez (Far, Deftones), demonstrates their uncanny ability to write technical and intelligent songs that speak to both the young and the young at heart. Veterans of many Southern California hotspots including the House of Blues, the Troubadour, the Majestic Ventura Theater, the Knitting Factory,the Key Club and the Whisky A Go-Go, they have also impressed audiences of all ages on tours to San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, New York City, Vancouver Canada and even 16 shows in England. All 3 members play guitar, bass and drums and share amazing instincts that help them respond to the input of their fans and each other while demonstrating an undeniable chemistry on stage that is electrifying for fans of all ages. Blackout 101 is not a boy band of trained dancers who sing words put in their mouths by others. Blackout 101, formed by 3 front men whose previous bands shared stages several times before they decided to combine forces, have unquestionably become something much greater than the sum of their parts.

Blackout 101 was started in the suburbs of Los Angeles,CA in the spring of 2005. They've had two succesfull tours on the West Coast and played many shows in New York and England. Inspired by such bands as Green Day,Blink 182, The Cure, they began writing their own technical and intelligent music that inspires and appeals to all ages.
