 Boredoms Biography
Japanese experimental band Artist plays a spastic, utterly bizarre combination of free jazz, hardcore punk, experimental noise, and electronic music. One of the most challenging groups in music history, Artist briefly tasted the mainstream during the mid-'90s after being championed by bands like the Beastie Boys and Sonic Youth. Though later recordings saw a drift toward a more tribal/trance groove, Artist still sound like no other band on the planet.
