 Jack Bruce Biography
Even if singer/bassist/songwriter Jack Bruce never did anything after leaving Cream, with whom he redefined rock bass playing, he'd still be a legend. It's all the more impressive, then, that Bruce never rested on his laurels. After Cream disbanded in the late 1960s, he released a couple of highly influential sui generis singer-songwriter albums before delving into more complex jazz fusion material in collaboration with the likes of Carla Bley, Kip Hanrahan, and Tony Williams. Along the way he popped up on albums by everyone from Lou Reed to Gov't Mule, consistently showing himself to be an eclectic musical journeyman.
