With her swooping, dramatic voice, second-wave art rocker Artist was a major influence on a generation of rocking sopranos like Tori Amos and Sarah McLachlan. The multi-talented Bush had her first No. 1 hit in Britain ("Wuthering Heights") while she was still a teenager. With each new record, she took more chances, and the spirit of experimentation led to her breakthrough work, 1985's HOUNDS OF LOVE.
