2007 compilation from the British band who were at the forefront of the 'shoe-gazing' scene that swept the UK during the early '90s. 15 tracks including 'We Are The Beautiful', 'Pearl', 'Falling Down' and others. Chapterhouse, like other bands from the scene including Ride and Lush, were able to turn their guitars up to near-deafening levels yet still create music that was beautiful, atmospheric and haunting. The 'shoe-gazing' scene (also known as 'the scene that celebrates itself') appeared just as the 'Madchester' and 'baggy' scenes were morphing into Techno and music fans were longing for real guitars again.
