Static is Berlin musician Hanno Leichtmann, who has worked with Lali Puna and To Rococo Rot. The latter's Ronald Lippok contributes vocals here on the album-opening "The Return of She," whose graceful, swaying rhythm sets the tone for the rest of the album.
