Dane Cook CD discography Artist is one of the best selling stand-up comedians of all time, and within the world of stand-up comics he is also one of the more controversial. A cyber-age self-made man, Cook used his own website and myspace.com to help launch his career, developing a grassroots cult following into a full-fledged phenomenon that resulted in HBO specials, CDs, film roles, and the documentary series TOURGASM. Among fellow comedians Cook is often criticized for his unoriginality, his lack of actual jokes, and a tendency to steal others' material beyond the accepted limit. Nonetheless, his sophomore album, RETALIATION, debuted at number four on the Billboard charts in 2005, an accomplishment nearly unheard of for a comedy album. Cook released his debut single as a rock singer, "Forward," in 2007.
