Crazy World Of Arthur Brown CD discography One part rock singer, one part performance artist, Arthur Brown and his theatrical stage antics (flaming helmets, suits made entirely of metal) paved the way for later shock-rockers like Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson. His band the Artist enjoyed international acclaim with their 1968 self-titled album and its hit single, "Fire." Shortly after, Brown formed a psych-prog band called Kingdom Come whose albums were critically acclaimed if not commercially successful. Brown would continue to release wildly creative solo albums and collaborative efforts well into the new millennium, although his place in history seems indelibly set in the late '60s.
