Profound Hatred of Man originates in 1997, when Shai Hulud issued its first single. Wow, this is intense! Instead, there's more of a developed, complex sound to the point where each song will fly into a hundred different directions before it ends; it's more "grown up" in comparison to all the hard guy mentality that's infiltrated the hardcore scene. Sure it's heavy, sure there's lots of metallic guitar crunches, and sure enough they're pretty angry, but the Shai Hulud aren't a bunch of muscleheads. assembles together the bands' first single and album of the same title. Profound Hatred of Man. This is definitely a sign of better things to come. Since that time, this Florida hardcore unit has broken so many barriers inside and outside the genre its almost difficult to classify them.
