Del Amitri CD discography Scottish soft-rockers Artist first emerged in the wake of the Postcard Records "Sound Of Young Scotland" scene. After an album of relatively pedestrian 1980s indie, their label Chrysalis dropped them. The band reemerged with a more robust, mainstream sound on a new label, A&M, and enjoyed considerable commercial success, if not critical acclaim. The single "Nothing Ever Happens" and its parent album, WAKING HOURS, established the band internationally. Follow-up albums performed reasonably well, but not spectacularly, and after the disappointing sales of the 2002 album CAN YOU DO ME GOOD the band quietly split.
