| | Milo Goes To College CD (1982)
$12.25 With 15 tracks in 22 minutes, the Descendents about brevity in a big way. The Southern California punk rock that the band defined was funny, snotty, fast, and distinctly un-subtle (see "I Wanna Be a Bear" for proof). Interestingly, the ...

| I Don't Want To Grow Up CD (1985)
$13.65 What's to be expected given the title track, with a hilarious 'nyah nyah!' line on top of the chorus! Give a closer ear to the song, though -- where the reason not to grow up is that it might "mean ...

| Enjoy CD (1986)
$12.29 Even as the band underwent changes in sound and membership, some great tunes that are central to the Descendents' pantheon were recorded. "Kids on Coffee" reiterated the loud-punks-on-caffeine jitteriness of the first album, and "Sour Grapes" is a story of ...

| Somery CD (1991)
$14.09 SOMERY is a retrospective compilation of tracks from each of the Descendents' studio records. It serves as a stopgap between the end of the band and the birth of its next permutation as ALL. The songs collected rarely hit the ...

| Everything Sucks CD (1996)
$10.35 Along with Black Flag, the Circle Jerks and others, Descendents were founding fathers of California punk, popularizing a brand of hardcore that was singularly West Coast--streamlined, with equal amounts of aggression and tuneful popcraft. This was the scene that would ...
|
| Cool To Be You CD (2004)
$6.69 On their first album since their 1996 reunion record, EVERYTHING SUCKS, '80s punk icons the Descendents unleash a fierce set of songs that fits seamlessly with their well-honed, melodic yet rocked-out sound. Vocalist Milo Aukerman still emotes the way he ...
|
| All CD (1987)
$12.45 Just when the Descendents were thought to have gone to the world of bands who've passed their prime, they return with All. With this record, not only are they forgiven for the bad spots to be found on here -- ...
|
| 'Merican. CD (2004) Extended Play
$5.89 After a seven-year hiatus, punk-pop pioneers the Descendents return with 'Merican, a solid five-song EP that picks up where the band left with 1996's Everything Sucks. The group's first release on Fat Wreck Chords, after a short tenure with Epitaph, ...
|
| Bonus Fat CD (1985)
$11.39 So-called because of the two bonus tracks that surfaced on this reissue of Fat, specifically the two sides from the group's original single, "Ride the Wild"/"It's a Hectic World." Aukerman hadn't joined the group yet, while the music is actually ...

 Descendents Biography
With an intelligent and witty take on typical punk-rock subject matter--alienation, parents, fast food, boredom--and a blazing yet catchy approach, the Descendents, from Manhattan Beach, California, became one of the most beloved bands to emerge from the SoCal punk scene of the 1980s. The band's key line-up, which featured PhD-wielding lead singer Milo Aukerman, coalesced around 1982's MILO GOES TO COLLEGE. The Descendents would go on hiatus numerous times during their career, but they continued to release records and tour into the new millennium.
