For several years, Theo Eastwind has been an icon on New York subway platforms as a Music Under New York (MUNY) performer. So far in 2004, The New York Post credited Theo Eastwind with title of "Big Apple Icon", MSNBC.com included him in a month-long subway musician segment, and FOX-5NY viewers voted him "Subway Idol". Theo was born in Austria and musically influenced by his father, a classical composer. Theo is currently recording a fourth album, The Story of The "O", due for release in 2005.Theo Eastwind has played underdog in his story of survival that is quickly shaping into the American Dream.
