(biologically possible) With lots of infamous influences, the band carries "rock" into the 21st Century giving it its own distinctive twist. Elroy plays concise, catchy rock songs, and is proud of it. Too much influenced by classic popular rock to be an "indie band, with absolutely no metal influences to put it into a new rock category, too loud for folk rock, and not well behaved enough to play your wedding or function, the band has no easy category to be pigeon-holed into. Wilco's long lost brother? Guitars, bass, drums, and Hammond organ with vocals, it's a familiar sound as soothing as a visit from your old friend, but new and refreshing at the same time. The album is a collection of 11 diverse songs, recorded on vintage recording gear, using a lexicon of vintage sounds.

ELROY is:Jesse LaMonaca (vocals, guitar)Keith Wiener (guitar) Joe Savarese (bass) Tim Agushi (drums)ELROY emerged in late 2001, although the band's roots can be traced back a year further, when Keith and Jesse met through mutual friends at a beach house on the Jersey shore and soon began playing acoustic shows around NY and NJ. They played numerous shows around NY and NJ at venues such as The Bitter End, Continental, Lion's Den, Arlene Grocery, Piano's, ACME Underground, Kenny's Castaways, Knowlton Riverfest and Hoboken's Whiskey Bar. ELROY hit the stage in March 2002 and several months later recorded their first 4 track EP. Later that year, after a chance meeting between Jesse and Tim, the three began writing and evolving into a band. They placed an ad in the Village Voice looking for a bass player, and after three auditions, they discovered Joe Bates and the lineup was complete.
