| | Information Changer CD (1998)
$8.99 When the album's level of energy picks up, adding vocals and turning a few degrees toward straight-ahead pop, the overall effect is almost identical to that of Seely -- it's a sound which might have been on its last legs as of 1997, but Information Changer doles it out competently enough to be a great listen. Information Changer comes off, for the most part, as a more electronic take on the floating, ethereal sound of Slowdive's brilliant swan song, Pygmalion -- the same swells and wisps of heavily reverbed guitar make up most of the record's dynamics, but underneath these run tiny, high-frequency electronic beats and analog synth drones. ~ Nitsuh Abebe
Originally released in 1997 on Miner Street Records.

| Past And Present Futurists CD (2003)
$8.99 The trip-hop feel of "On One" is reminiscent of a looser Morcheeba or Portishead. "Lady of the Highway" has a lullaby quality with organ drones beaming as a long, layered programmatic American Analog Set. On tracks like "FRAM" and "How Did It Happen So Slowly?," Eltro warms up to its Stereolab, Tortoise, and Lali Puna post-rock influences. Eltro peaks when it pulls out of locked verse grooves and opens up from the trance into the chorus or bridge while keeping the vocals interesting with effects that make it sound like a computer. On the tighter, electronic-based tracks the group sounds like a safe Adult or early Laub. But the vocal stylings of Jenny P., Diana Prescott, and Jorge Sandrini can, at times, kill the musical buzz. The music throughout Past and Present Futurists by Eltro is an interesting, repetitive electro-dream/trip-hop that layers rhythms and loops on top of the occasional guitar strum.

| Eltro Velodrome CD (2001)
$8.99 When the elegant voices of Diana Prescott and Ted Johnson come out from behind walls of swirling guitar, they weave some rather intricate songs. In the vein of Piano Magic and Bardo Pond, "Some Vital Function," the disc's leadoff number,
