While this collection is for die-hard Posies fans only, those fans will be well pleased Luckily, the covers here are for the most part excellently rendered and sparklingly produced, and display few signs of amateurism. A pivotal link between old-school, Big Star power-pop and the newfangled Not Lame variety, the Posies were masterly purveyors of catchy, harmony-laden sweetness masking a tart lyrical undertaste.
