| Easy Come, Easy Go CD (2008)
$13.65 EASY COME, EASY GO is Marianne Faithfull's second album with producer Hal Willner, coming over two decades after 1987's STRANGE WEATHER. Like its predecessor, this is a collection of covers of songs both old and new, but STRANGE WEATHER (like ...

| Marianne Faithfull's Greatest Hits CD (1987)
$13.79 While missing a few fine album tracks, this is an excellent 16-song distillation of her '60s recordings. Includes all of her British and American hits -- "As Tears Go By," "This Little Bird," "Summer Nights," and "Come and Stay With ...

| 20th Century Blues CD (1997)
$10.29 As the liner notes to this intriguing release tell, Faithfull had a long-simmering interest in German cabaret, particularly the work of Kurt Weill. It came fully to life via her role as Pirate Jenny in a staging of The Threepenny ...

| Marianne Faithfull CD (1965)
$8.79 Her erratic, self-titled debut features lovely baroque arrangements by Mike Leander and decent tunes like "As Tears Go By," and Jackie DeShannon's "Come and Stay With Me" and "In My Time of Sorrow," and Bacharach/David's "If I Never Get to ...

| Come My Way CD (1965)
$21.69 When Marianne Faithfull released her first two albums for the U.K. market in the spring of 1965, she took the unusual step of issuing them simultaneously. One, simply titled Marianne Faithfull, was the pop-oriented collection that listeners of her hit ...

| Stranger On Earth: An Introduction To Marianne Faithfull CD (2001)
$9.85 Now an unlikely grande dame of rock & roll, Marianne Faithfull has consistently reinvented herself throughout the decades since her first appearance on Swinging London's mid-1960s pop scene. This compilation collects some of the most notable recordings of an eventful ...

| Broken English CD (1979)
$13.29 Widely considered Marianne Faithfull's best album, BROKEN ENGLISH has a hazy, bleary-eyed expressiveness that matches atmosphere with emotional impact. Throughout the 1960s and '70s Faithfull was generally considered a shooting star in the pop firmament, a passing flavor not to ...

| Before The Poison CD (2005)
$14.25 This last appellation is apt given the nature of Faithfull's collaborations. Nick Cave wrote three of the songs, including the desperately melancholic "There Is a Ghost," while composer/multi-instrumentalist Jon Brion and Blur's Damon Albarn (whose "Last Song" is one of ...

| Kissin' Time CD (2002)
$6.25 One of the most endearing things about Marianne Faithfull is how well and often she reinvents herself as an artist, all the while remaining true to her rebellious, defiantly independent nature, enduring whatever changes the industry undergoes with her restless, ...

 Marianne Faithfull Biography
In the heady days of swinging London, Marianne Faithfull was a sex kitten/wispy-voiced waif singing orchestral-pop versions of Rolling Stones songs (she had a highly publicized relationship with Mick Jagger at the time). In the late '70s, she re-emerged as a shockingly blunt post-punk feminist. More recently, she's turned into a post-modern cabaret singer, sort of a 21st-century version of Lotte Lenya, feted and occasionally assisted by such acolytes as Nick Cave and PJ Harvey.
