Freeway Biography
A member of the Philly-based crew State Property led by rapper Beanie Sigel, Freeway was quickly scooped up by the Jay-Z/Damon Dash-run label Roc-A-Fella after his cohort Sigel hit the big time. Freeway's albums have very much been family affairs with guest shots from members of both Roc-A-Fella and State Property. However, relations between Sigel and Freeway have cooled somewhat since the duo united in the late 2000s, with Freeway going so far as to start his own Philly crew, Ice City, proving that in terms of both mic skills and entrepreneurial spirit he is a force to be reckoned with.
