In the '90s Kenny Garrett became the most sought-after alto saxophonist in jazz for his exceptional strength as a soloist and his seemingly boundless creativity. In his early career he served in one of Mile Davis's last bands. He has recorded a string of critically acclaimed discs and continues to forge new paths as a leader of the modern mainstream.
