In what is also something of a tribute to the violent and creative impulses of its creator, IMPACT OF A LEGEND still sounds fresh today. Dre, on 1993's "It's On (Dr. Cuts such as "Cock the 9," "Ruthless Life," and "Still Fuckem" retain their dramatic impact, and in places E's rapping sounds almost musical--though not enough to obscure the ugliness of lines such as "A bitch is a bitch " Although these tracks were all recorded in the mid-'90s, the sound is vintage rather than dated; the rap world may have caught up with Eazy E's vision, but it hasn't yet surpassed it.

The Enhanced portion includes a demo version of the video game HITTIN' SWITCHEZ.
