 Greenhornes Biography
Although this talented and authentic garage rock trio from Cincinnati, Ohio, probably would have found some measure of success anyway, their friendship with the White Stripes' Jack White hasn't hurt their cause. The Artist--who have been relentlessly touring since they were teenagers in the late 1990s--boast a tight rhythm section (Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler) who were recruited for Loretta Lynn's backing band on her 2004 White-produced album, and also play as three-fifths of White's side project, the Raconteurs. Fellow Raconteur Brendan Benson produced the Artist' acclaimed 2005 EP on V2 Records.
