 Hard-Fi Biography
England's Hard-Fi have a unique approach to making the punky version of Britpop so ubiquitous in the early 2000s. Embracing new technology--from the standpoint of efficiency as opposed to experimentation--and the music that has grown out of it, Hard-Fi mix standard guitar-punk rants about middle-class boredom with neo-disco beats, booming dub bass lines, and a new DIY attitude born out of the convenience of Pro-Tools. The band's self-recorded debut EP, STARS OF THE CCTV, led to major-label interest, which resulted in the 2005 expanded re-release of the album.
