| | House Of Pain CD (1992)
$9.75 With their brawling take on golden-age hip-hop (the drunken yang to Cypress Hill's blissed-out yin?), proud-to-be-Irish-American trio House of Pain could easily have been a tired cliché. However, with acrobatic, learned lyrics and dexterous beats farmed from bop, blues, and ...

| Same As It Ever Was CD (1994)
$9.89 House of Pain's self-titled album had its moments, but on the whole, wasn't very memorable. However, the Irish-American group really blossomed on its far-superior and much more hardcore second album, Same as It Ever Was. With this album, Everlast changed ...

| Truth Crushed To Earth Shall Rise Again CD (1996)
$10.39 House Of Pain's third album is a murky, nightmarish soundscape that curls around the listener like a cloud of pot smoke. The minor-key synth chords and simple, bass-heavy beats provided by D.J. Lethal, and the rough, husky voices of Everlast ...

 House Of Pain Biography
Los Angeles-based rap group House of Pain scored a huge cross-over smash with the rambunctious 1992 single "Jump Around." Led by Ice-T protege Everlast, the all-white ensemble created a unique image that was part L.A. street-tough, part Irish hooligan. Though the group never matched the success of "Jump Around," they played an important part in breaking down the barrier between hardcore rap and loud-and-heavy rock (in fact, DJ Lethal would later join Limp Bizkit). Shortly after the group broke up in 1996, Everlast began an unlikely but successful solo career as a hip-hop tinged blues troubadour. All three original members reformed as Lo Coka Nostra in the early 2000s.
