| | Very Best Of Billy Idol: Idolize Yourself CD (2008)
$11.35 Issued in 2008, IDOLIZE YOURSELF essentially repackages the 2001 GREATEST HITS collection, albeit with an altered track listing and two brand-new songs by the punked-out U.K. popster. While the latter tracks (particularly the moody "John Wayne") seek to recapture Idol's ...

| Billy Idol CD (1982)
$11.65 All tracks have been digitally remastered using 24 bit technology.
Although Generation X had been relatively unheralded second-generation punks in their native UK, the group's frontman, the former William Broad, always clearly wanted more. For his solo debut, Billy Idol hired ...

| Greatest Hits CD (2001)
$19.19 Recorded between 1983 & 1993. Includes liner notes by Ben Edmonds.
Though he made his initial splash as the singer for UK pop-punks Generation X in the late-'70s, Billy Idol's greatest success came as a solo artist. In the '80s, Idol ...

| Whiplash Smile CD (1986)
$5.49 Although it was ultimately an unsatisfying album, failing to live up to the promise of its fabulous single, "To Be a Lover," Whiplash Smile still burned clean with an immediately recognizable 1980s energy. Like Billy Idol himself, who affected the ...
|
| VH1 Storytellers CD (2002)
$11.25 While it might seem incongruous for a rock & roll rebel like Billy Idol to perform on an ostensibly introspective songwriters show like VH1's STORYTELLERS, he pulls it off with the same adaptability that allowed him to move from punk ...
|
| Devil's Playground CD (2005)
$11.49 DEVIL'S PLAYGROUND is that rarest of items, a comeback attempt that actually works. Previously, Billy Idol had taken a dozen-year respite from recording, conceivably recovering from the aesthetic trainwreck of 1993's woefully misguided techno-rock attempt, CYBERPUNK. The year 2005 found ...

 Billy Idol Biography
After earning his punk rep in the 1970s with the seminal band Generation X, Billy Idol became one of the more unlikely pop icons of the 1980s. With his peroxide-blond spikey hair, trademark sneer, "rough boy" looks, and pop-ready anthems, Idol would become an early-MTV darling. By the middle of the decade he was a consistent hitmaker on both sides of the Atlantic, with enduring singles such as "Eyes Without a Face," his #1 cover of "Mony Mony," and "Cradle of Love."
