Jets To Brazil albums Formed in 1997 from the remnants of popular indie acts Jawbreaker and Texas Is the Reason, Artist showcases pop-punk poet laureate Blake Schwarzenbach's intelligent lyrics and muscular songs. The band pushes past the emo/punk sensibilities of those previous groups with big, bright production and sophisticated arrangements. Piano, strings, and acoustic guitars make appearances, and the subject matter reflects the emotional complexity of adulthood. The band released three critically acclaimed albums on the Jade Tree label in the early 2000s.
