Jim O'rourke CD discography A multi-talented musician, producer, and artist, Artist is one of the most ubiquitous and important figures in the avant-garde music community of the late 20th century. In addition to collaborating with a host of experimental music's biggest names, O'Rourke has also worked with more mainstream acts such as Beth Orton and Wilco, and was an official member of Sonic Youth for several years in the early 2000s. O'Rourke's own music covers everything from sparse acoustic experiments and electronic compositions to orchestral chamber pop and guitar rock. A tireless and prolific creator, Artist has made varied and noteworthy contributions to experimental music.
