 Simon Joyner Biography
Omaha's Simon Joyner crept onto the indie scene in the early 1990s as part of the burgeoning DIY lo-fi scene, alongside acts like the Mountain Goats and Beck. The singer-songwriter maintained a burgeoning release schedule through the decade, beginning with 1992's UMBILICAL CHORDS and including high points like 1994's THE COWARDLY TRAVELER PAYS HIS TOLL. In the next decade, his pace slowed a bit and began to include retrospective albums like BEAUTIFUL LOSERS: SINGLES AND COMPILATION TRACKS 1994-1999, CD and vinyl reissues of his earlier work, and collaborations with artists like the Fallen Men and Dennis Callaci.
