| Artist appears on Brothers Four Brothers Four/B.M.O.C. CD (1998)
Mike Kirkland music CDs
$12.19 The two most accessible studio LPs by the Brothers Four slot together perfectly, and are ideal artifacts of their era: upbeat and enjoyable (and totally inauthentic) presentations of folk songs and folk-type songs. The debut album is weighted just a bit toward novelty-type tunes -- or at least folk material done in the style of novelty tunes -- such as "The Zulu Warrior" and "Sama Kama Wacky Brown," and calypso. Collectors' Choice. B.M.O.C.'s 12 songs are more diverse and sung with greater subtlety and sophistication, and constitute the group's best work on album. ~ Bruce Eder
A two-fer containing their first two albums from 1960 & 1961, absolutely classic albums! The range of material on this disc (which includes the hits "Greenfields" and "The Green Leaves of Summer") makes this an excellent alternative to either the best-of or the greatest hits collection released on the group.

The Brothers Four: Bob Flick, Mike Kirkland, John Paine, Richard Foley In 2000, reissue giant Collectables took smooth crooners the Brothers Four and put 1961's Songbook and 1963's The Big Folk Hits (both originally released on Columbia) onto one happy disc.

| Artist appears on Prong Primitive Origins CD (1987)
Mike Kirkland albums
$10.15 Sure enough, their modest independent debut, Primitive Origins, is a collection of mostly uninventive two-minute blasts, which prove that the sometimes CBGB employees still had something to learn before quitting their regular jobs. Long before they found their calling as a highly technical thrash metal band, New York's Prong was dealing in rather faceless hardcore, most of which didn't hold a candle to superior scene rivals like the Cro-Mags and Agnostic Front. A few songs ("Watching," "Cling to Life," "Dreams Like That") do show occasional promising flashes of things to come, however, and may interest serious fans.
