Knife Biography
A brother and sister group hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, the Artist takes inspiration from vintage synth pop and forward-thinking electronic music, crafting a sound that is equally unsettling, playful, and beautiful. By the middle of the 2000s, the dynamic duo's records were a regular feature on tastemaking magazine's year-end top ten lists. An iconoclastic veneer pervaded the pair's public persona from sending two proxies to an award show to prance in gorilla costumes to protest the dominance of male acts in the music industry to recording in exotic locations such as a former carbon dioxide factory and the vaults of Stockholm's Grand Church.
