 Patti Labelle Biography
From her doo-wop roots as a member of the '60s girl group the Blue Belles to the disco craze of the 1970s to a renewed interest in R&B in the '80s and '90s, Patti Labelle's ability to change with the times has brought her true staying power. Her remarkably flexible vocal range hasn't hurt either; Labelle has used her powerful voice to tackle soul ballads, pop tunes, and disco anthems, most famously the randy "Lady Marmalade."
