 Lamb of God Biography
By describing themselves as "pure American metal," Virginia's Lamb of God state their allegiances and purpose in one fell swoop. Together since the early '90s, they have been one of heavy metal's most consistent and challenging bands, and their uncompromising approach has garnered them significant respect and album sales. SACRAMENT, from 2006, was Grammy-nominated and the best-selling metal album of that year. Drawing from the same pool of merciless thrash energy and hardcore punk fury as Pantera, the band approaches their albums with an uncommon level of craft and attention to detail that elevates brutal aggression to a new level.
