 Patty Larkin Biography
Patty Larkin studied classical piano as a child, but in her teens, she switched to guitar. After performing as a street and subway busker in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts while studying jazz guitar at the renowned Berklee School of Music, Larkin made her recorded debut with 1985's STEP INTO THE LIGHT. While maintaining a steady solo career, Larkin also collaborated with Christine Lavin, Megan McDonough and Sally Fingerett to form the singer-songwriter collective Four Bitchin' Babes. In 2005, she compiled and released an anthology of female guitarists, LA GUITARA: GENDER BENDING STRINGS.
