I remember my first instrument as an acoustic guitar of questionable quality ordered from the sears catalogue. A little historyAt the age of 6, after seeing the movie "Help" by the Beatles I thought "hmm that looks like a good job" and decided to play the guitar. All the new flamenco and neo-classical tunes by Laurence are outstanding. - Rene'e Gelpi, Galaxie CBC. Critically acclaimed guitarist Laurence. The original guitar music on the debut album "A Story Without Words" is of such perfect production and creativity that it rivals the work of Ottmar Liebert and Jesse Cook. I still love the process of learning and I am inspired by the fact that it is truly endless. Soon after, my parents found a teacher for me and I have been studying ever sense. I knew I wanted to incorporate this into my own writing. The music I was exposed to, with its percussive pulsing rhythms, absolutely thrilled me. It wasn't until a trip to South America that I really started to hear the dynamic energy of the music that was created on acoustic nylon string guitar. Highly recommended. About my music, or as I like to refer to it; an ethnic rhythmic stew:I have played many styles of music over the years but kept returning to acoustic based music. As a young student I remember asking my teacher at the time, "when will I be good?" He would smile and say "when you tell yourself you are and you believe it".
