Lemanis have spent the last couple of years in and out of the studio recording our first album, and assembling a large army of superb musicians to back us up both in the studio and on stage. The little orchestra we've found ourselves very proud to be involved with includes a string quartet and horn section, as well as flutes and a female backing singer.All 4 members of the band are multi-instrumentalists and singers, so we all get to play and sing the bits we're best at. Plymouth based band Lemanis have a core of 4 members (all lead vocalists and multi-instrumentalists) and an extra 10 members who record with us and play live when stage size allows (horns, strings, female vocals and a few other bits). The music we play is quite varied but to try to make it easy for you, we've been compared to The Super Furry Animals, The Beach Boys and The Polyphonic Spree (probably a numbers reference that one) as well as a few others.
