There is little evidence of the distortion-heavy noise-rock of either member's main outfit here, yet there is a fair bit of sleazy punk attitude, evident in the songs' amped-up swagger and suggestive lyrics. Jon Spencer and Matt Verta-Ray, of Blues Explosion and Speedball Baby, respectively, teamed up to cut a record as Heavy Trash, a project that brings a contemporary twist to the sound of classic rockabilly.
