Her popularity led to several television appearances, radio play, and live performances at some of the world's largest music festivals. A remix of this song was released on her 2001 release, Compilation . Three more releases have followed, including Beneath the Raging Water (2001), Compilation (2006), and “Footsteps of My Soul” (2007). In June 2007, the members of the Austin Songwriters Group awarded her first place prize in the rock category for “Kisses in SoCo,” and second place honors in both the pop and jazz categories for “I'll Wait for You” in their year's annual Song Contest. Her ballad, “Heartbeat,” was a crowd favorite. While there, she quickly gained recognition throughout Germany . Her love for music grew as fast as she did—so did her ambition. When she was 11, her family moved from her hometown of Sacramento , CA , to Frankfurt am Main , Germany . Great musicians such as her late mother's all time favorite, Elvis, Aretha Franklin and Marvin Gaye. Her first inspiration? All of the awarded songs are featured on her latest CD release, Footsteps of My Soul . Gina Livingston was six years old when she decided to become a musician.
