 Luna Biography
After the dissolution of the influential US shoegazer/slowcore band Galaxie 500, singer/guitarist Dean Wareham picked up where he'd left off by founding Luna in 1991. Initially joined by former members of the Feelies and the Chills, Wareham refined his infatuation with the balladic side of the Velvet Underground sound into a lustrous, atmospheric approach that was a key component of '90s alternative rock. After a good, long run, Luna called it a day in 2004.
