Michael Haggins is from Pasadena, California and began playing sax,drums and electric bass in his early years.Michael attended Pasadena City College and was introduced toJazz by Bobby Bradford.Influences include Stanley Clark,George Duke,George Benson,Grover Washington Jr,Jaco Pastorious,Artists of Motown,Sly & the Family Stone and many others.Michael is the nephew of the late "Al Duncan",one of the worlds most recorded jazz/blues studio session drummers in the 1950's in Chicago, with both the Chess & Vee-Jay Record labels.Al can be heard on songs by Count Basie,Ray Charles,Buddy Guy,Big Joe Turner,and many others.Continuing the legacy, Michael hit the smooth jazz world with his debut CD Michael Haggins "Daybreak".Both smooth jazz radio & Los Angeles Television Station KTLA"Morning News Show" have featured Michael's Music.Other highlights have included,being approached by Motown Founder Berry Gordy and him personally asking to be introduced to Michael after a live preformance,also recieving an invitation to preform at the 2006 Playboy Jazz Festival "Community Event Series".Michael's new CD release "Traffic" is Phenomenal!From funk to smooth,with the spice of old school.Michael "aka" Squeak's music is a must for your collection well worth the investment.All the songs on this CD will truly be a blessing to

Michael is a native of Pasadena, California, and began playing saxophone, drums, and electric bass during elementary school. Michael's full band, the Michael Haggins Group, recently performed by invitation at the 2006 Playboy Jazz Festival Community Event Series in the world-famous Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Composer, songwriter, and musician Michael Haggins does it all. His laid back yet funky style entices the listener to surrender to his special brand of smooth funk and jazzy arrangements. R&R-reporting radio and television stations are giving the CD great airplay and the CD is selling well around the world. Michael's influences include Sly and the Family Stone, George Duke, Stanley Clarke, George Benson, Grover Washington, Jr., various Motown artists, and many others. Michael is the nephew of the late Hall of Fame drummer, "Al Duncan," who, as one of the world's most recorded blues/jazz drummers in the 1950s, appeared on labels such as Vee-Jay and Chess, and recorded with Count Basie, Mahalia Jackson, Big Joe Turner,Buddy Guy,and many,other greats.Continuing that legacy, Michael hit the Smooth Jazz world with his hit debut CD, Daybreak.
