| | Capuchin Swing CD (1960) SACD Hybrid
$21.99 Saxman Jackie McLean's explorations of free jazz and the avant-garde were still a couple of years away when he cut this Blue Note album in 1960, but that doesn't mean CAPUCHIN SWING is a by-the-numbers affair by any means. Though ...

| Jackie's Bag CD (1960) Bonus Tracks; Remastered

| Long Drink Of The Blues CD (1957)

| Prestige Profiles CDs (2005) Bonus CD
$8.39 Alto saxophonist Jackie McLean's flowing, inventive style and restless imagination originated in the Charlie Parker tradition. Jackie Mclean Biography
Saxophonist Jackie McLean's changing styles mirror those of post-war jazz; after beginning in the late '40s as one of Bird's most fervent disciples, he became a charter member of the hard-bop fraternity with Art Blakey, but he was also capable of absorbing the changes wrought by Coltrane in the '60s. His stinging, acidic attack is as unmistakeable as any in jazz.
