 Music Machine Biography
Music Machine CD discography Formed in California in 1965 (under the name the Ragamuffins: they changed it the following year), the Artist was led by singer-songwriter Sean Bonniwell. The band played a tense version of garage rock characterized by psychedelic guitars, Farfisa organ, and the band members' moptops and matching black outfits. They cut just one album, (TURN ON) THE Artist, in 1966, which featured the Top 20 single "Talk Talk," a manic blast of vintage psych garage with proto-punk elements, and a second single entitled "The People in Me." The band broke up after a tour of the U.S., and Bonniwell went on to release an album called THE BONNIWELL Artist, which featured several tracks by the original incarnation of the Artist. A compilation of unreleased Artist tracks was released in 2000 on Sundazed Records.
