No Origin is continuing in the tradition of using politically provocative lyrics and innovative music to create a movement of the people for the people. Each song has its own tale to tell while still being a single chapter in an epic story that needs to be heard.Tarik, the piccolo bass player and main song writer, and Moorea, the lead singer and vocal arranger, are the driving force of the band. Since then, the full band has formed and the songs continue to reflect the feelings and perceptions, both pissed-off and optimistic, of the two artists. The first song they wrote together, Sea to Shining Sea which is featured on Politifunk, was a purging of emotional frustration at America’s initial occupation of Iraq. Politifunk harkens back to the 70s era of concept albums. The San Francisco Bay Area based band has recently released their first full length album, Politifunk, which is poised to do just that. No Origin is Politifunk.Politifunk: politically charged symphonic art rock, pop and funk. No Origin’s mission is to help along the rise of human consciousness of both music and mind.
