It keeps me . . . sane, I guess.My songs tend to be ostensibly about normal everyday things, and often have a healthy dose of self-deprecation to them. But I play whenever I can. Amazing, wonderful, funny, wrenching stuff is right here in front of us all the time, anywhere. I don't like to practice, I have no discipline. I keep telling myself just to relax a little and catch a few of the normal details honestly - and the broad themes will show up out of curiosity.
