One fan wrote:I first heard of them via the song, "The Stuff of Magick" on the Shadow Dancing compilation. It mixes elements of classic synthpop with modern electronic dance music. Rarely can you find such a well trained vocalist with such a dynamic range. This is New Clear Sky's second album, and it is an extremely polished and well performed album. Great stuff and highly recomended I was gladly suprised when I bought the cd that most of the other songs stood up just as well to this song. This is NOT one of those synthpop groups that has great music but horrible vocals i.e. some German guy trying to carry a tune. This CD is extremely polished and well performed in regards to the soothing vocals and emotional lyrics. I like the ballad track "Fall" the most which is by far the most emotional track on the cd.

"Serenity" is the perfect single to follow up the popular "Vast" single. One fan wrote: Serenity is a perfect follow-up to this band's oh so popular first single "Vast", which is still stirring up the electro dance floors both in the US and abroad. While the original track may not be suited for dance floor, it is a perfect example of what NCS is about-- they write songs, plain and simple. Once again, New Clear Sky delivers a stellar vocal performance on top of a pulsing electronic background and catchy hooks. The new remixes each add a new twist to the song, making this a very memorable maxi-single.
